How do I register with Northern Employment Services (NES)?

Simply complete our on-line registration form, and then either attach your current resume or complete our on-line version. You may also drop into one of our offices and register in person (don't forget your resume).

After I register with NES will I hear from you?

We will only contact you if a position becomes available that suits the type of work you are looking for and the skills/qualifications that you hold.

After I register do I need to keep in contact with NES?

No. Once you are registered with NES there is no need to contact us, if a position becomes available, then we will contact you.

How long will I be registered?

You will remain registered with NES on an on-going basis. We update our records on a regular basis, if we are unsuccessful in contacting you, or you have gained a position, then your resume will be placed in our archives for a period of up to 4 years.

What if I don't have a resume?

To register with NES you must submit a resume. When registering on-line you can complete our on-line version.

How does contract labour work?

With contract labour NES become the employer, taking on all employer obligations including: Payroll, PAYG Payments, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, WorkCover and Public Liability. Employees complete an NES timesheet, then NES invoice as per the hours nominated.

Is NES government funded?

No. NES is not government funded. We are totally privately owned and operated.

How does NES source candidates?

We have offices in both Mount Isa and Townsville where candidates can register in person. We use multiple advertising mediums to attract candidates to register with us, including our web page where candidates can register on-line.

Do NES offer guarantee periods?

Yes we offer guarantee periods on permanent placements.
